There is no such thing as "The Cloud."  It is a catch all phrase to describe centralizing technology, infrastructure, software, data and resources someplace where multiple people can access them with multiple devices through multiple processes. It is the collection of all of these that then become "The Cloud."

 

To monetize "The Cloud," you have to understand the actual technology and resources.  You have to be able to understand how they interconnect and how they need each other.  You also have to understand that there are core technologies that are necessary to even have "The Cloud," and other technologies that supplement the foundational technology to make them more useful, more effective, and more complete.
